Hey everyone!
Well it has been forever! I have so much to catch you up on, so hmmm.. where to begin!?
I will save the best (Joshua) for last:
Casey: I am a mere 2 weeks away from finishing my first semester of teaching! I have had the best year! I have for sure felt the moment where I ask God if I was really cut out for this, but he always assures me that I am. I have the best 13 first graders I could ever have asked for. They are all so different, and they are more than I ever prayed for them to be! They are amazing and therefore they make me LOVE getting up and going to work. Would I rather stay at home with my little boy, of course, but if I can't be with him at home, I couldn't ask for a better place to be! I am experiencing some AMAZING freedom from Anxiety, and it feels so great to wake up and know.. and believe that God has plan for me! :) As you can tell, I have been so busy with teaching, Joshua and John that the blog has taken a back seat! I hope I can get better at it.
John: He is finished with all classes for his Masters degree. All he needs to do now is either get an internship, or student teach. We are just waiting for God to show us which path he is to take. Since I am teaching in a private school, the pay doesn't quite allow for John to completely stop working and student teach. He is more than thrilled to be done with school! He has worked so very hard and I am so proud of him! Of course, he is still praying that God would send him another job, but is praising God that he does have a job that is reliable (especially in this economy) until/if then.
Joshua: He is LESS THAN a month away from being 3. I cannot believe it. He has grown so much and he has one of the most funniest personalities for someone so small. He of course, is a giant. He is as tall as most 4 year olds, but still has the mentality of an almost 3 year old. He is getting a special surprise for Christmas from his Aunt and Uncle in Artesia. Joshua is being given a cocker spaniel. He is going to be so excited to be able to grow up with this lil dude! Joshua is funny, and talks so much. He is in awe of Christmas this year! This is the first year that he has really gotten Christmas. He has redecorated his tree a bazillion times, and sings Christmas carols and just loves Christmas. Unfortunately that means he can no longer go Christmas shopping with us. So we had to hire my sister to watch him tomorrow while we knock out all of our Christmas shopping in one fine swoop of a day. Tomorrow night we are taking him to see and talk with Santa - hopefully that goes just as smoothly as last year.
We are still down to one car. It is amazing that we have almost made it to a year (which will be Dec. 31st). We are still praying and hoping for something big to happen. It is inconvenient but God has made it work! :)
I hope to post some pictures soon!
