Potty Diaries : Day 2

This morning started off rough. I was thinking to myself "Are we back to square one? I am NOT putting this child back in diapers... I don't care how many undies I have to clean today"... and then.. about 9am, he kicked it into gear by taking a number 2 in his undies and me running to the bathroom (which I think scared him).. lets just say, I have never had so much "number 2" on the floor, me, toilet, shoes... everything in my LIFE!! I thought after that I should have just let him do it in his undies and then chunk them. Which I did end up throwing the undies away and taking 15 minutes to clean and de-germ the bathroom.. icky!!

But after that, things went much better. He did not make it through nap time today, and with all the excitement from getting to go outside, he wet his undies a little bit.. but I got him to the bathroom so he could finish. We even ventured out to a dinner, no accidents.. NOTHING!

So overall today, we had 16 successful trips to the bathroom. I am still pumping him with juice, and I take him every 40 minutes.. tomorrow will be every 45. I count successful trips as those that he pees even just a smidge... so sometimes its a couple of drops, and sometimes its quite a bit.. that's why there is so many! Joshua doesn't even want to wear diapers anymore.. He says they are for baby Joshua's. So yeah. This has just been a blessing for me. As most of you know, Joshua didn't really crawl on all 4's until he was almost 11 months old, he didn't walk till 15 months, and so the fact that I will have this Lil guy potty trained BEFORE he is 2 and a half is so exciting and liberating! I praise God for allowing me to have the patience and listen to the advice of other mothers to find amazing techniques ( pretty simple, so simple that I didn't think they would work) to help him. So thank you everyone for your tips and ideas.

The incentive is : if Joshua can be completely potty trained (and I know accidents will happen, and am prepared for that) by the first (Daddy's monthly payday), then he gets to go to Toys R Us and pick out a toy. We think that deserves a re-adjustment of the budget, and a gift!

So we shall see what Potty Training Day: 3 consists of!

****BRING IT ON!****

Also, at the conclusion of this, I will be taking this blog private. I know there are people reading this that I really don't want reading it. I don't find it to fond of strangers being able to look up this blog and read and see pictures of our personal lives. So if you would PLEASE begin emailing me and the hubbs at the_henrys3@yahoo.com (that is the underscore henrys3 )that would be great. We set this email address up for this reason!
