We took Joshua to get his pictures taken since he was sick so much around his birthday! And here are a few of them!

Joshua is ALMOST 28 months as you can tell by the ticker and alot has changed in our sweet Joshua:
* He can say his full name... for privacy reasons, I am not putting that on here. But he can say his whole name and you can understand him.
* He talks in complete sentences, or thoughts. He still stumbles over his words, but that's just because he is thinking about how to say something we think.
* He is doing that imaginary play. He plays with things and his most recent play was when he told us his Happy Meal dragon ( from the movie How to Train Your Dragon) was eating his leg off.
* He has the best sense of humor. This little boy will have you laughing, even if your in the worst mood possible. He will say all sorts of funny things.
* He REALLY loves being outside and taking in all that God has made and its so much fun watching him at this age because he understands things and can play better.
* He is sleeping in his twin size bed without a guard bed rail on there or anything and hasn't fallen off once (now watch, since I have said this, he will fall off)
* He can sense when you are upset.. He will look at you with the sweetest eyes and say "Mommy, I love you"...so sweet.
* He has some mad dancing skills - he will be like his mommy in that he likes to dance.
* He is totally intrigued by John's video games and wants to do whatever daddy is doing.
* He is about 27 and a half inches tall and weighs about 31 and a half pounds. We have a giant on our hands.
* Joshua is still a picky eater - and that's okay
* He likes to help cook, do laundry, or put away toys...
* He LOVES his school and church! He looks forward to going every time now!
* He likes to argue... lol
* Joshua is doing a really good job at telling us when he has gone, or needs to go potty. And every time, and I mean EVERY TIME we sit him on the potty, he goes. So we are almost there... I will be really working at getting him potty trained after May 8th.
* Joshua doesn't have to sit in high chairs anymore. He looks so grown up sitting at the table like a big boy. If it is a really quiet place though - he still sits in them to keep him from getting antsy!
* Joshua is quite convinced that he is of the age to drive. He will sit in the drivers seat with any car ( of course its turned off ) and pretend he is going to either Best Buy or Target... He has his Daddy and Mommy's favorite stores as his top stores as well! :) We are raising him right.
* He is one well behaved little boy.. He says please, thank you, I'm sorry, all by himself without being asked. If its to someone he isn't to familiar with, we usually have to prompt him.
* He is a ladies man... A couple of weeks ago at church, I was in the bathroom changing him, and one of the girls who is on the worship team goes to wash her hands and she says "Hey there", and he said "I'm Joshua..you pretty..date??" Yeah... He goes on dates with Mommy sometimes, and dates with daddy sometime - so I know it was harmless but I mean - common - heart breaker!
* He's protective!
* He still has a strong love for cows...
Also this month Joshua had surgery. He had tubes put in his ears, and his adenoids taken out. We still haven't seen the full benefit yet since it happened on April 14th, but he is already eating better. So we'll see how everything health wise adjusts. We decided to do the surgery because Joshua had over 5 ear infections this winter, and his ENT was concerned because he was starting to show signs of mild hearing loss... So when he said he could do it just a couple of days after meeting him, we said .. okay! So he is recovering well! He is already back to his active self!
I have learned one of the best sounds EVER to hear as a parent. That would be your little boy praying to Jesus. We are having him repeat prayers and it just melts your heart. He has been experiencing some nightmares I think, and so the other night we had him pray to Jesus to protect him and keep his safe and keep the scary dreams away and I literally teared up because this is our job as his parents - to guide and lead him to the feet of Jesus. And there he was.. praying his little heart out! It's sweet!
While John and my parents went to see Clash of the Titans opening weekend, I thought it would be alot of fun to take Joshua to see "How To Train Your Dragon". I did not think he would make it all the way through it but he did and he had such a great time. It was a lot of fun. He sat in my lap the entire time munching on popcorn! It was a fun experience. It just let us know he would do well in June when Toy Story 3 comes out!
Me and John just cannot get enough of our little boy. He is so sweet and caring and we have the best time being entertained by him. We are about to experience our first night away from him since he has been born. The night before my graduation (May 7th), my parents are going to watch Joshua since we have to be to the gym so early for the ceremony. And me and John know its going to be REALLY hard on both of us! :*(***
Easter was fun this year- Joshua actually hunted Easter eggs and it was alot of fun watching him participate!
Well I will be updating more and more once I graduate college. Student teaching is sucking time dry! Its insane.. but until next time...

I can't believe he is getting SOOO BIG! We REALLY need to get together soon! I miss my friend and Jake needs to hang out with his friend Josh. You know we pray every night for The Lord to bring good friends around Jake. I think Josh needs to be in the line up. You are always in my prayers!!
He is so precious!!!
