So yes... I am finally updating this blog! It has been a crazy past 8 months. I was getting really good at updating this thing while in school, but it is getting harder and harder.
Here is an update on Joshua:
He is soooooo grown up. Sometimes I tear up just looking at our lil booger and seeing how much he has changed. Me and John have caught ourselves reminising over his pictures of his first year and we cannot believe how BLESSED we are. God has constantly reminded us of his love for us in that he has trusted us to raise this little boy in the image of God.
He is a monkey. He climbs on everything!
Spanking DOES NOT WORK for this strong willed child. So....time out it is!
We don't use a paci anymore, and this has been an interesting change. He has not had it since his 2 yr birthday party, and let me tell you...some night we are TEMPTED to get it out just because he simply does not sleep well without it...but we have remained strong!
Joshua has been sick off and on since his birthday and the reason for that is he started PDO (parents day out) and so he is around kids on mondays and wednesdays. The interesting thing is he hasn't been more than he has been. Frustrating, but his lil immune system has to gain some tolerance. ALSO I am currently student teaching so I am bringing home all sorts of fun things for the Henry's to enjoy in the area of health! Hopefully you sense the sarcasm.
Since our wreck on New Years Eve, we are down to one car, and this has really been testing our faithfulness in the Lord. We decided to wait until I graduate to purchase another car, and let me tell you...its hard at times...but the LORD has provided over and over again in means of transportation....
I graduate in just 10 and a half weeks...Thats right everyone...I am finally graduating.. So please pray for God's direction in guiding me to the perfect 1st year teaching job! God has this under control and I have to remain trusting in that. Its hard when you hear of people that just graduated and they cannot get first year teaching jobs... so pray for that.
Also John has begun the process of looking for his internship so he can graduate soon with his Masters. ... pray the same for him...
Joshua has just changed so much. He is so talkative, strong-willed, hysterical, emotional at times, and says the sweetest things. He says please, thank you without even being asked. Yes Joshua is learning to test his limits, but the time out is working alot better than spanking. It really is amazing just how quickly they grow up...
Well everyone...Joshua is asleep, so I must go put him to bed! G'night!
