So first off, let me extend a belated Happy Thanksgiving! I stole this idea from a friend of mine, Lacye, and so here it is!
Dear Joshua,
First off, Happy 1st Thanksgiving! You made this thanksgiving the best one that me and Daddy ever had. We are so very thankful for you! Your smile instantly brightens up our day. Every morning me and Daddy wake up and cannot wait to get you out of bed and give you big kisses! You constantly are a reminder to us of God's faithfulness. I remember this time last year and how we were anticipating your arrival more than anything, even more than Turkey and Dressing. I remember sitting on the couch after everyone left feeling you move and kick inside of me, and my first thought was.. Joshua is probably thinking - Thank the Lord all those people left! I remember just how excited I was. How much I looked foward to a bath that night just to zap you to wake up! :) You complete me and Daddy! Our hearts and lives will never be the same, and we cannot even imagine how we functioned without you in our lives. You are such a perfect baby boy, and everyday you remind me that you are your own person, and you do things all on your own! I cannot believe that this Thanksgiving you are eating table food, when just last year you were not even born yet! Me and Daddy love you so much and we are more thankful for you than you will ever know!
Love,
Mommy and Daddy
Thankgiving was good! Joshua was a little overwhelmed by all the new faces, but over all he did pretty darn well! I have learned that Joshua HATES those "taco bell" dogs! I cant spell the C dogs... but he hates them... Haha! So Thanksgiving day we spend some of it with my grandparents, then some with my mom, dad, and sister ,and the rest just us as our new small family relaxing at home! Then on Friday night we left to go to Artesia! It was a good weekend! I had a great time! I even got some shopping in with Shales and the girls.. Thank you guys for letting me tag along on your Christmas shopping- you sure did make me laugh! Then John's mom cooked Thanksgiving dinner for everyone, which by the way, it was good! Then we woke up sunday morning and John and his brother went to get McDonalds, and then we ate lunch with Johns other brother, Jared, Tejay and their two little munchkins (which are ADORABLE). Overall, it was a great weekend!
Here are 11 things I love about my 11 month old:
1. He has learned how to clap, and well, it's the cutest thing ever!
2. The fact that he shakes his head no... I will ask him "are you ready for nap nap", and he'll shake his head no, and reguardless if he knows what he means, I talk to him like he does!
3. How he sleeps! He is the craziest sleeper I've met. He has learned how to sit up on his own, so the other night he was fussing, and John went in there, and he's sitting up! John was like.. well lay down buddy! LOL
4. He waves! He's done this for a while, but it's adorable!
5. Joshua is SUPER mobile! He finally started crawling on his knees, and well hes so fast now. One minute he's in one place, and the next somewhere else. He's discovered that the whole Army crawl, is alot more work! He's so cute cause his little baby booty sticks right up in the air!
6. Joshua's love of the Christmas tree. We set it up the Sunday before Thanksgiving and the first time I turned it on, his eyes got as big as they could without his eyes falling out, and he opened his mouth all wide and gasped! Now I know what the term "with wide eyed wonder" means!
7. Joshua has learned to gasp! Like I said it's when he sees something that is overly exciting and new, he gasps, and its so darn cute if you have been present for it!
8. Joshua is pulling up all over the place! Now we are having to keep things out of reach we don't want him to get into! He's our little toot!
9. The way everynight he has to say goodnight to his animals- incase you don't know-- Joshua's room has a big tree, giraffe, monkey and elephant painted on the wall, so everynight Daddy has to take him to each animal and he either waves, or pats them!
10. How he sometimes can copy you! The other day I said.. DUH!, and I swear he copied even the pitch I had it in, it was so cute!
11. How Joshua responds when Praise Baby is turned on.. haha! He gets so excited
So there it is!
Tuesday night though I had to take Joshua to the walk in clininc because within a 2 hr period his temp went from 98.9 to 101.8. SO needless to say I didnt want for his ped. to call back, I just took him in and it's a good thing I did! He had a really bad ear infection, which explains his huge attachment and fusiness the last couple of days! Poor baby! It's hard to decifer teething, from ear infection...
Well guys, no pictures this time- blogger is messed up, but I will try again later!!!
