The long last post has arrived.....

First off, let me say sorry for the extremely late post. Blogger has been giving me grief for the last week or so, and with classes starting back up for me, and both me and Joshua being sick, blogging has been my last concern. But here it is! So hold on tight, get ready for another lengthy installment of "All Things Joshua"

So ladies and gentlemen, me and John took our first official date alone since before Joshua was born. Yes that's right, we took a date for the first time alone in over a year just 3 days shy of Joshua's first birthday! Hey, time has flown. But it was nice, and just have the opportunity to bond and rekindle our marriage again. John's brother, and his wife... Ryan and Shales, spoiled the tar out of us and took us to see Tran-Siberian Orchestra on Dec. 30th. It was amazing needless to say. We had a great time just goofing off and of course flirting our tails off ( I know all the mushyness made you want to puke eh?) Oh well... But when we got home, Joshua decided he was REALLY mad at me and John for not putting him to bed, and decided to show us by staying up till 3am! But hey, that's one thing that me and John have always loved doing- putting Joshua to bed... and no, not the putting him to bed part, but the things leading up to bedtime.. the bath, story, and Joshua saying goodnight to his animals on the walls, and then he goes night night. That's what we enjoy. But Auntie Rin did a fantastic job, and we really appreciate her for staying with our world so we could go out and have a night out on the town. Thank you Rin- you are a fantastic sister and Aunt! We love you dearly and can't wait for you to come to L-town again!

This is Joshua about 30 minutes before Mommy and Daddy left for the concert:
Yeah, Joshua was totally being ghetto with his one pant leg rolled up- but whatever- he looked so cute and look so big! Joshua boy how you have grown up!
January 2nd!
Joshua's Birthday! Man this day was so surreal to me. It was like a dream. Here I am, almost 25 with a child that just turned one! It was insane. You know the past year I have had those moments where I have said "This time last year I was pregnant"... well I can no longer say those 7 words all in the same sentence. It's bitter sweet. Here I am, with my baby getting bigger right before my eyes, and all I can do is want to rewind time back and take him in for the very first time again... But man, Motherhood is amazing, and I am so fortunate to be the mother to such a perfect little boy!
So the morning started off with bringing Joshua into our room, and before his milk, giving him his very first birthday balloon! Let me just say.. This balloon is somehow STILL floating around in our bedroom. Joshua LOVES balloons. Especially the Mylar ones! He's a doll with them. After that, we got him dressed in the shirt I made him. On the front it said "Today I am 1" and on the back it said "Today is my birthday". He looked so cute! Then we went to the L Breakfast House, than came home and he opened up his birthday present from me and John, followed by a nap, then playing, then another nap!
Joshua at the Breakfast House.. see his shirt?
I think he was more surprised that they made boxes this big!!

And here is Joshua discovering the door... he loves to shut and open doors! LOL

Million Dollar Smile.. I love you precious baby!!!

Joshua's 1st Birthday Party. We had a great time! Joshua I think was overwhelmed with just how many people could fit in our tiny home! I never thought it was that small until we had everyone in it at one time.
I would just like to say thanks to all the people that came and made this day special for us! We had so many wonderful family and friends that couldn't make it, and know- we missed you too! But we had a good time at the Henry household celebrating Joshua's 1st Birthday!
The Henry's
Joshua's Cakes!

Wendy and Gerald. Wendy was Joshua's first girlfriend! We love the Millers! Thank you SOOO much for coming to the party! Joshua loves you guys, as do we!

Thank you EVERYONE for being so thoughtful and gracious to Joshua! We appreciate EVERYTHING!!!
Joshua just didn't understand that Mommy wanted him to play with his food for once...

Here's Mommy showing me how to do this whole "Birthday cake" Thing!

You betcha- I caught on!

Nana and Papa got me this toy box... I think they are lying saying that it's for toys!!! I think this will be my secret hiding place one me, mommy and daddy start playing hide n seek! HA!

Joshua also had his well check on my birthday (Jan 7th). Here are his stats:
Weight: 26lbs 11 oz.
Height: 97th percentile
Head: 97th percentile!

Joshua is a big boy! He didn't do to well with his shots this time. For 2-3 days afterwards he ran a temperature of about 101. It was NOT fun! But he finally lost his fever Saturday morning, and then Monday started getting sick! After a trip to the ER on Tuesday night, we discovered Joshua had broncolitis. He had to have 4 breathing treatments a day, and antibiotics. It was a rough week, and as he started getting better, Mommy got sick with Strep. So it's been a very eventful past couple of weeks!

Thank you so much for checking in on us!! Be sure to check back. As I adjust to being a full time Mommy and Full time student, I will get better about blogging!

P.S. Joshua now has 4 bottom teeth, and 4 top teeth, and he is starting to teeth molars! Whoa is what we were thinking too! His smile is so precious!..

Until next time everyone!
