This has been a busy busy week for us!
First off, Joshua went to his cardiologist appointment on Tuesday. They did an Ekg and an Echocardiogram. As you all know he was diagnosed with Patent Ductus Arteriosus (pDa) and Pulmonary valve stenosis of the heart in the hospital when he had R.S.V. When I had taken Joshua to the doctor and they discovered R.S.V, she also heard a murmur, and while we were in in the hospital, they went ahead and had a cardiologist come see him Well the cardiologist said they rarely heal on their own without surgery... and well after both tests, Joshua's P.D. A has closed AND the p.v.s. isn't present!!! I placed the real names of them there so you could look them up if you want. I am totally convinced that God healed our precious Joshua, and it was such a huge reminder to me of how much God hears the cries of our hearts. On Monday night, with tears in my eyes, me and John laid hands on Joshua while he was sleeping in his crib and talked to God, and thanked him for the blessing of intrusting us to raise this precious boy to be in the likeness of his heavenly father. Then we asked God for the power to heal our son! That thru the laying of the hands of his parents, that God would use our hands to heal our precious baby! And he did! Usually a PdA can leave some time of issue...even a minor one, and there is nothing to show he ever had one. Joshua still does have an innocent heart murmur, but it is nothing that will EVER prevent him from sports, and just living life. So he has been released from the Cardiologist, and what an answered prayer that is. I have never seen healing in someone so very personal to me, and the fact everytime, from now on, when I look at my son, he is a testimony to the healing power of God. It may not seem like a big deal to some of you readers out there, and you may or may not believe in healing, but if you don't... Look at Joshua, and even if you do, use Joshua as your reminder that God heals and answers the prayers of those who seek his face and guidance.
Next, Joshua had 2 firsts this week. Since me and John took a week of to chill, we took Joshua to the Park, and he got to play in the water outside...
